What a common Indian thinks about Donald Trump

Let me begin by saying that I have never taken a big interest in politics till I came across the hugely discussed US elections this year. Thanks to Mr Donald trump and his antics ranging from building a wall across Mexico to his remarks about blood coming out of her wherever, I got intrigued by the amount of hate and stupidity in the US elections.

Firstly, I have a lot of respect for the United States for being a strong supporter of democracy since inception. I found the two party system hugely different from what we have in India. The basic assumption being that it would result in saner candidates and lesser corruption. The day I realized that an obstinate reality TV show host is leading the race for the Republican nomination, I found a similarity between the two nations.

People love the candidates who tell you exactly what you want to listen, irrespective of how illogical their statements are - Given Donald trumps lack of clarity on every conceivable issue, right from foreign policy to abortion laws one would assume he would be rejected right away. Its actually funny, sitting right here from India to see someone so incompetent even being considered for the nomination let alone leading it right now. This is very similar to an Indian election, where one could get away with statements like I will negotiate better as an answer to every question

There is no accountability of the actions of the candidates - How can you get away by quoting different estimates for the wall every time you get a chance to speak. I wish there was a dashboard with the number of lies told by a candidate, trump would keep it ticking every millisecond.
I really hope sanity prevails and America chooses anyone but Trump - Go Sanders, Go Clinton, Go Cruz.

Five Years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Five years ago, on this very day I wrote my first post, the blogging world has advanced a lot over the years and my blog really does justice to its title "Soy un Perdedor" (I'm a loser), never felt like changing the typo and the song by Beck is still one of my favourites.....

Most people write more posts in a week than I have written in five years, most blogs have thousands of visitors, comments and followers, my blog doesn't, but I love it just as much :)

Bloggie, we've lasted five years, most things in life don't last that long, we will definitely last five more!!!!

Musings of a lunatic!!!

What time is it? Early in the morning, I try to gauge a parameter that has confined every man’s intellect and has eluded anyone who has ever tried to unravel its significance. In my case, time has long lost its absolute meaning; 8:15 am is just a little too early to wake up and anything after that is seriously late.

I look outside; I see a bunch of rag pickers beginning their day, unaware of all the comforts of life, what did they do to deserve this? I try to suppress the questions for one more day. One more day before it all explodes. Am I crazy? No, not when I can see things so clearly. Does that make me wise?? No, not when I am just a ‘weak excuse’ like everyone else.

Sometimes, I wonder, Who exactly am I? Why am I here? Why the hell do I own a cell phone worth seven thousand bucks when I can see people selling their souls for a thousand? Why can’t I make a tiny effort to bring a smile on someone’s face? Why doesn’t helping someone come naturally?

I try to argue that perfection was never a part of the design, if so, all of us would have looked the same and love would have been the only emotion that governed us. But can that be an excuse for not sharing what I have with someone else?

A wise man once told me “the ability to love and help” is what separates humans from animals. How many of us are humans then? Are we human cuz we have fallen away from the God above? If so what if we fall away from mankind now?

A Fight To Imperfection

Pingu hated waking up early, especially on a Sunday. To wake up was one thing, but to go out and play cricket was even worse. His best friend Sai was already waiting downstairs with his BDM bat.

(Sai and Pingu were best friends since they were six. Everyone envied the duo's coolest collection of WWF cards, radiums and double decker magnet pencil boxes. They went to school together, played cricket together and spent most of their time hopelessly playing the spirit game. When at school they sneaked out of PT class, played pen-dash during the science classes and slept through the math classes.)

Pingu came down and lazily started walking with his friend. "Today i will score a century" Sai said. Pingu ignored his drivel, he knew they were definitely going to lose the match as the opponents had a bowler who could bowl off spinners, on spinners, out spinners, in spinners and what not. Eventually they did lose the game.

After the match the captain of the rival team mocked Sai, so he punched him. The skirmish grew into a big fight, and everyone started hitting Sai. Pingu tried to fight but he realized he wasn't strong so he ran to call someone. A few adults stopped the fight and Pingu felt he did the right thing by getting the adults involved.

Next day Sai accused Pingu of being a coward and the entire class labeled him a darpok. Most things went back to normal in a few days except for the best friends part. The next time they played cricket Sai had to chose his side, one after one he selected his players. Pingu was usually the first person to enter Sai's team but this time he was left out. Pingu didn't want to play in the other team so he went back home and cried. He cried because he felt weak,he cried because he couldn't discriminate right from wrong . How could he feel guilty even after doing what he felt was right?. Did his friends really mean the world to him? Was he really a coward? Would he always run away?. He realized that it would have hurt him a lot lesser if he would have taken a blow instead of running away and that sometimes doing the right thing may hurt a loved one.

Twelve years later Pingu still struggles to say the right words but he knows that relationships are inherently weak and a moment of indecision can scar a person for a lifetime. Some of us are cursed to hide our feelings, Some of us make stupid mistakes, Some of us are scared of getting hurt and Some of us just don't know how to make a loved one smile, but if all of us are perfect would love still be so amazing.

ABDUCTION OF LOVE

Torn apart between right and wrong,
We struggle in a state of lunacy,
Filled with volatile beliefs,
We crawl in a pit of confusion.

Like moths around a flame,
We fight over the unknown,
Drowning in the darkness of discrimination,
We fail to see all the similarity.

Lost in the delusions of power,
We lose a grip on life,
Unaware of the beauty of love,
We pour hatred into our souls.

Starve your suspiscions,
Free your soul from rage,
Love is all we need,
Lets fill our hearts with it.

There is a paradise waiting for all of us.......If we can put an end to hatred and give love a chance......Nationality, Political beliefs, Ethnicity, Religion, Caste......there can be a million things that seperate us......but they should never stop us from loving each other.......

21 Dreaming on 30

After watching an episode of scrubs in which JD & Turk have a "Things to do before we turn 30" list, I have decided to come up with a wish list of my own. I am confused about where my life's heading, mainly coz I am still as emotional as a six year old girl and my decision making ability is worse than that of a drunken baboon. So maybe analyzing what I want from my life by making a list of my selfish wishes might clear things up.

BREATHE

Ambrosia never tasted sweeter than,
A silent peek of your elysian smile,
Like the moonlight that adorns the night,
You've filled every ounce of me with ecstasy.

Songs of an enchanted nymph wouldn't coax,

Restless souls that long for your voice,
Like the love for gold that enamoured midas,
You've enraptured my inane heart.

ALWAYS.....

I will always cherish,
the warbled melody of your voice,
relishing all the joy ingrained,
in every word you say.

I will always wish upon,
shooting stars and fallen eyelashes,
certain that wishes would come true,
when you paint green over blue.

I will always treasure,
tender moments strewn in time,
times when i was lost,
forever in your smile.

I will always believe,
no matter how many times undone,
hanging on to dreams of an us,
even when you seem to look away.

THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN

Designed to crash, destined to fly,
with broken wings I try to fly,
high into the azure skies,
transcending multitude of motley wonders,

Mesmerised by the mellifluous breeze,
 intangible emotions posses me,
I realize the purpose of my flight,
a glimpse of your cherubic smile,

As I look, into the vast emptiness,
I wonder if you are still eluding me,
I fear the inevitable,
I fly higher and higher,

Hope couldnt decieve me a little longer,
desire wouldnt defy inhibitions any more,
the pain urges me to fall,
with broken wings I hit the ground,

Tears trickle down my cheek,
a pearly raindrop enraptures me,
foolishly I assume its you,
with broken wings I fly again..............

IAM PERFECT BUT WHAT'S WITH YOU???

I was bad, I am good and someday I will be perfect but you will never know, for you will always be lost searching for a better me.” - Vijay bhasker.

I wanted to do something productive this summer( apart from writing weird posts that no one reads ), that's when I decided to ask the one above for a little help. God and I haven't spoken much nowadays,he's still ashamed of creating me and I am too mad at him for not killing Himesh oops I mean himass, but he still loves me enough to take out all his frustrations on me( now thats what I call true love). As an answer to my prayers oops whining, I got a project in IIIT Hyderabad, not bad huh???, that's exactly what I thought, but I have to travel 6 hours a day, which by the way includes a journey by a train, a bus, an auto and my sexy oops lazy legs(Kids, too much of television or jamelia can really ruin your language).

Ok, enough of the complaints, lets talk about my project which is related to Earthquake resistant structures. It deals with structural analysis of buildings under seismic forces, funnily enough all I have been exposed to so far is structural analysis of people( I was unaware of this science before).I have come across new terms like perfect structure, average structure, ok -ok smile, perfect face, perfect behaviour and what not(Thats how people here describe each other).Being the bhaskilicious*( If fergie can come up with fergilicious and beyonce with bootylicious I can definetly come up with bhaskilicious right?) person I am, I spent quite some time thinking about it and came up with a hypothesis.

[ * bhaskilicious adj – neurotic to the bone.(Please use this word as often as you can so that it can become an official English word :D) ]

Ever since life began on god's green earth, the females of all species have been competing with one another for perfection but the males have been dumb enough to coexist peacefully and smart enough to rate the females. Millions of years later one of the guys deciced to sneak into a girls hostel to steal a fairness cream, and that's when the males got caught in the obsession too. A tribe of retards and halfwits eventually decided that all human beings were mere objects of pleasure and so perfection needs to be achieved in their every aspect. One needs to look good, have a great voice , a cool sense of humour, intelligence..... blah blah blah.....So a large scale introduction of beauty products, weight loss programs, personality development tools etc was done to benefit the not so perfect.

All I am trying to say is that every person has a few things that are really amazing about him and a few things that are totally disgusting. You never need to be perfect as no one ever can, just be happy the way you are. WHEN YOU ARE FINDING FAULTS WITH SOMEONE REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE A FEW THINGS ABOUT YOU THAT ARE TOTALLY OBNOXIOUS TOO.

If you havent enjoyed the post, remember that I am not perfect, and I now that you are screwed up too.....

TO SLEEP AND NOT BE CAUGHT !!!!!! - VIJAY

To sleep in a classroom is just a surreptitious act, but to sleep in the first bench of a classroom is a display of finesse and dexterity of the highest order.

---- William Sleepsphere.

About the author :

The author has wide experience in the field of sleeping. He has slept during lectures held in over eight different premier institutes and decieved countlesss lecturers with his vulpine intelligence.

About the book :

The book "To sleep and not be caught" is an international bestseller and has also won the sleepitzer prize.

Preview :

Are you afraid of sleeping in the classroom? Have you ever been caught by a finicky pedagogue? Are you docile? Do you concentrate during a boring and discursive lecture?

If the answer to any of the above questions is a "yes", then you have copious reasons to continue reading. It is high time, you grab the vicissitude that has been long eluding you. Remember, every hour you spend on a useless lecture will haunt you all your life.

Tips :

  • The angle of vision of a ‘normal’ human lecturer is 60 degrees 45 minutes 36 seconds, so it is better you don’t lie within this range i.e the first benches of the extreme rows are the safest.
  • In case you don’t prefer the first bench, sit behind the person with the largest possible surface area in your class.
  • Never sit beside a person who is highly attentive as this increases the chances of your capture.
  • Your head should be inclined at the maximum possible angle to the line perpendicular to the plane of the board.
  • Make it a point to keep nodding your head, while you are asleep( this comes with practice only so work real hard on it.)
  • Always sit beside a person who is not aware of these tips.

Reviews:

  • Buy the book or I will shoot you straight in the head – Vijay Bhasker
  • The book is so good you will fall asleep halfway through – Tekken chronicle.
  • Mindblowing, an amazing book and a definite must read - Times of Warangal.

Do you want a collection of such amazing tips? Then please go ahead and buy the book.

Beauty Bisected

My college is pretty close to hyderabad so I keep going back to my house whenever possible. On one such journey, my train was late by an hour so I was left stranded in the railway station.Iam a midget when it comes to patience so I started cursing almost everyone, beginning from the guy who lays the tracks to the railway minister.

Just when I was trying to settle down, I saw a girl who looked like an etheral damsel. She was walking towards me and I kept staring at her in a really bizzare manner.I just couldnt take my eyes off her(All ugly guys are cursed to admire beauty and I am no exception) .She sat a little farther away from me but I was happy as I could still get a glimpse of her pretty face. Her eyes were really attractive and I was so lost in getting a proper view of them that I never took notice of the guy(her brother I guess) beside her untill I saw a couple of really furious eyes in the background.

What hapenned next was something even nostradamus wouldnt have predicted.A small boy in a totally torn outfit walked up to the girl and asked her for some money and in the process ended up touching her hand .Her beautiful eyes suddenly turned cadaverous and she said something to the guy beside her.The guy pushed the poor kid so hard that he fell down and started crying. There wasn’t even the slightest trace of remorse in the girls face and her petulant smile confirmed that there was none in her heart either.I felt horrible not because of the poignant incident that took place but because there was a tiny part of me that still found the girl beautiful.Eventually the train did arrive and I made sure that I didnt get into the same compartment as hers.

This pretty much sums up how life is, some of us are blessed with everything while others find it hard to keep body and soul together.Just because you are doing well doesn’t mean you can be rude to the one’s who are struggling. There are thousands of people in the world who breathe just to know they are alive. If possible try helping these people but don’t ever be harsh to them as the creator has already done that mistake.

Now, there are a few things that I have learnt from this experience.(Iam not religious so Iam not going to talk about karma, sins and other related weird stuff)

  • If people were to look as ugly as their thoughts then the world would be filled with ogres.
  • No matter who you are, if u do something bad you will definetly get back something bad.
  • Never judge a person by the way he/she looks.
  • It is always better to buy a cell phone with an integrated camera.
  • Do not make eye contact while staring at a person.
  • Never arrive early to a railway station.
